Dogdancing
Dogdancing is a sport for a dog and a handler (usually, classes for more dogs and handler exists as well), who perform moves in accord with music. All movements depends on handler's fantasies and skills of the team, the only exceptions are moves that are dangerous for a dog. Competitions are divided into two classes, every team must start in Beginners and gather points from placements for progress to class Advanced. There are also four divisions, each division correspond with differents style of performance. It is essential to remember characteristic of division when creating the routine (the main element in Heelwork to Music is heelwork, in Dances with Dogs is important that a handler can show dance steps). Competing routines are judged by three judges, who gave marks for Artistic Interpretation and Technical Merit, acuraccy and speed in moves execution is evalueted, the appropriate use of costume and props, if the music is well chosen for the routine and rythm...
Dog Dancing Club Czech republic also held Progress Awards. Movements in Progress Awards are compulsory and each move is marked. The team gains award Excellent, Very Good and Good. A fail in any move means elimination.There are three levels of Progress Awards, in each division. The team can gain titles Master of Dogdancing or Champion of Dogdancing by progressing.
Dogdancing is still very little known sport, but several training groups offer training classes, workshops ot training camps.
